What do you get done on a lazy Sunday to which you've woken up with a sore knee?

Myself, I got some kind of weird energy kick and had a go at reorganising our basement. Ellen discovered a while back that some of the heavy rainfall we've had found its way into our basement, which of course left us wondering what might have happened to the bottom-most boxes and their contents (and slightly tired at the mere thought of going through all that stuff). Well, now we know, and it wasn't too bad. A bunch of old, damp boxes got thrown out along with a few old drawings, but very little actual things were damp, and none of them were of any real value.

I also took some steps to prevent future worries.

High tech moisture damage control system

All those blocks were left behind when we moved in, and we always knew they'd come in handy somehow ...

Closeup of gap between bricks

This space for rent to any small, evil entity looking for its first underground lair. Flexible rooms, sometimes running water.

After that we went barbecuing with H, M and E and it was all good.

And then we woke up to this rather hazy sight:

Misty morning

Just the kind of view that really lifts you up on a early Monday morning.

Actually, it was a pretty good Monday morning, and day as well. Apart from the ache in my knee at least, and that's no killer. I consulted my dad during the day, and he recommended rest and recreation for at least a couple of days.

I promise, I didn't make the connection between that and buying The Settlers for the DS in the afternoon until right now.
