On the way from work to washing machines I stopped by Kjell (which is a store, not a person) and got a second 3,5" hard drive box. I got my first one a few years back, and now that I started thinking about a second one it turned out Kjell had one of the exact same design. And they stack neatly too. And Firewire daisy-chaining means there's still only one cable over to the computer. All advantages!
Upon arriving home, it turned out another toy was ready to pick up.

More photography power than my last one, and in a slightly smaller package to boot. I haven't put it to any real tests yet, or even read up about the new functions. But I will, that's for sure.
Yep, I'm the manual-reading kind.

This is the best semi-random test photo so far. The auto mode seems to be pretty good at handling difficult lit-from-behind subjects. And they managed to not make faces at the camera too.
Speaking of packages ...

The extreme part refers to, I think, the difference in volume between packaging and actual product.
After toys and laundry I've spent a nice hour making a fool of myself playing Vangers online. I can assure you there are many,
many
worse ways to spend an evening.
In fact, I will probably be back for more tomorrow.
