Writing this in the latest Safari 3 beta. Text area resizing and the gooey find-as-you-type eyecandy could become habits fast. My main pro for Firefox right now is the wonderful bookmark sync-thing Google has provided. Being able to send links between three computers by bookmarking is just great. Otherwise I think I'd go back to Safari any second.

As for the actual news I guess it's a political, calming computer-uninitiated parents, sort of thing, and as such I can understand it. Still, the idea of putting filters in just feels ... off. Against the idea, somehow.
Besides, how long and how much do they really think that will help?
Then again, if it is primarily a political thing and works in that aspect, it doesn't really matter if it helps or not.
