Got up really late today to two pleasant surprises. First, weather's a lot better than any report has made us expect. Second, and even better, it's still only Saturday and not at all Sunday despite me feeling 100% Sunday (oh-darn-work-again-tomorrow-can't-we-have-a-bit-more-weekend-first?).
We had a nice Midsummer's Eve just as planned, with plenty of food. And all the herring was actually nice, not a single true dud among the nine types.
(But I counted wrong the first time, so I had to stop on the way to the party and get an additional type to actually get to nine. No harm done.)
Okay happy end, my playlist's finished. About time to brush my teeth and start thinking about today's food.
