On the downside, I feel I haven't got enough sleep this weekend.
On the upside is everything else.
So I can deal with it.
Waking up early (for me and a weekend) in a room lit by morning sun through windowblinds and thin white curtains does not, in itself, warrant much complaining on most scales either.
Yesterday I had some washing to do by noon, and then some barbecuing planned in the evening. So when I woke up earlier than I planned (and wanted really, I felt pretty tired during the week and looked forward to catching up during the weekend) I took the opportunity to do some early pre-barbecue shopping.
Do you realize how quickly stores can run out of the most common barbecuing meats and potato salad when Sweden has a sunny weekend? Well, it looked empty enough in the morning that I figured they hadn't got the day's meat out yet and that I would drop by the nearer stores later. And they, of course, were rather empty of the meat I'd had in mind. Eventually I settled for sausages instead, and it turned out great too. Friends, some beer, sausages on the grill and a steady flow of sunlight over the whole scene. Jan Berglin is right, that can be true happiness.
Today I again woke up early.
After dreaming my grandparents had broken Pomum by accident (and someone had put a scratched 17-inch PowerBook with a 12-inch screen attached to seemingly try and cover the incident). They were getting it fixed at a local shop for 1000 crowns (which would give me a new hard drive, a new fancy enclosure and, apparantly, a pretty different OS look too) though, so it felt okay in the end.
Currently it's a few minutes past ten in the morning. I've just returned from a run and am typing this on the balcony (using my completely un-broken Pomum). It's time for a shower and breakfast, in some order.
My running can't be powered by blood sugar, that much seems certain.
Thinking of macs and broken, Aura has locked up twice in the past few days, once on Friday night and once this morning. This time it at least managed to show the "You need to restart your computer" screen, the time before that it just locked with a white screen.
For Windows users: the above is like saying "Well, at least I got a blue screen of death". Not much to be happy about, that is.
The first lock was when I switched to full screen in VLC, the second when I dropped a movie file on the same program. So I'm wondering if it's somehow video related.
