I ran today, for the third time since Ellen and I moved here. It's been a beatifully warm, sunny and calm day and I passed plenty of people soaking up the sun. The flooding that put my shoes in the oven last time had largely dried up, but there was still one rather large lake forcing backtracking/improvisation. Which is perfectly fine by me. The only slightly annoying part is that once the path dries up completely, one "unbroken lap" will be a bit shorter than the ones I've done now. Shortening the distance always feels slightly like cheating, but I think I'll come up with a way of dealing with it :-) ...

In any case, after running I sat down on our balcony and just enjoyed the sun, sounds and endorphines. It's possibly slightly strange to feel in touch with the world sitting on a balcony on the seventh floor of a concrete building, overlooking one of the more cultivated and urban parts of the country, but that's the way I feel after running. In touch, present in the moment and just generally relaxed and well. No need for drugs when the body is this good at getitng you high ...

We started the day really slow, sleeping in late and then watching Vasaloppet on TV. Then the running, a little bit of food, and all of a sudden it's 18:00 and I'm on my second cup of coffee. Time is weird in its ways. How about some gaming on top of this?

Even stranger, Aura locked up half an hour or so ago. It still responded to pings, but I had disabled SSH access so I couldn't try logging in and restarting/killing things from that way. Now SSH is on again though, in case I remember it the next time something goes wrong ...
