More blinkenlights in the night. Being a man of action (cough), I went out and got the USB hub I started thinking about on Friday.
Last night was fun, games, tea and scones with Martin, H, F, J and B
(where M + H == F + J == 1)
When I asked per SMS if I should bring anything, Martin replied that I should bring something good and unexpected. So I went out and tried to get some more or less tea-and-scone-related things. I ended up with some brownie-like things, two small jars of jam and honey respectively, some spiced red tea and a package of liquorice ice cream.
As a pure bonus I picked up the two-disc edition of Hellboy for myself. It was cheap, and I'd been meaning to get one version or the other ever since I first saw the film. There was a nice amount of background material on the second disc which I spent much of the time between shopping and going to Martin watching. It clearly never ceases to interest me what goes on on behind the scenes. I want to see the film first, mostly to avoid spoilers, but then I want to know all about makeup, set construction, how the special effects were made, the works. Apparantly there's also a three-disc version with some deleted scenes put back in somewhere out there.

Nah, one is enough.
L suggested I draw a bit, so I think I shall.

Came out reasonably close to the idea I started with too. Except for everything looking different of course. But the elements are pretty much where I imagined they'd be.
It's been a relatively intense week work-wise, but it's been going really well too. We're showing off what I've been doing tomorrow, so I've spent some time tonight going through things. I thought it'd be all polishing, but when I started on what I thought was more of a bonus feature I discovered and fixed something that was actually quite bug-like. I both managed to fix the bug and add the new feature too, so it's all good. A good week has passed, and a good one is hopefully coming up too.
