Framed, at last

Poster, framed at last

It doesn't show (thank goodness!), but apart from the hook holding the frame there are two drill holes and three marks from hooks that wouldn't hold on the wall behind the frame. I look forward to completely forgetting about them until the next time I move.

Soft landing prepared

But I won't count on this one holding just yet ...

This is of course the frame I wrote of yesterday, and I actually went and got a USB sound device too. I got the cheapest one I could find, plugged it into Aura without reading the manual, and it's working perfectly. The only negatve suprise was that sound comes out of it much louder. I had to turn down overall system sound level to the lowest notch and lower the volume a bit in iTunes as well to reach a comfortable level. Not a big pain for being rid of background noise from USB devices.

(Apart from the fact that Apple should have avoided a problem like that completely in the first place.)

My next little Mac related project might be getting Apple to send me a new mighty mouse. Mine won't scroll up anymore. Yesterday it was just reluctant, but now it refuses outright. I'm willing to bet it's dust interference, but Apple's very limited cleaning tips don't help. If you design a consumer device so that parts of it that can't be user serviced grime up and stop working within four months I think you should just cough up a replacement and be ashamed for putting form over function. We'll see if Apple agrees ...

Not purchased was a DS Lite in a bundle with two games. But it was bloody close today too ...
