The pages of the book lasted to Mjölby train station, ten minutes before the train to Lund and perhaps 26 hours from beginning to end.
Pure reading joy all the way through, a story which awakens the wills to live, read and travel no matter how much you may have forgotten them.
Dad recommended this book by Carlos Ruiz Zafón to me when he heard that I might be going to Barcelona later this year. The summary on the back made it sound like a perfect book for me.
I realized that was a correct feeling after ...
... oh, a paragraph or so.
Tragedy, mystery, humour, characters more vivid than some living people, descriptions you just want to eat up ... The pages just melted away, of course.
I could say so much, but at the same time very little.
I've been thoroughly entertained and inspired.
