Small and extremely rough sketching exercise done today.
All of five minutes or so of completely unpolished lines. Don't think I'll try to polish it either, but maybe something will come from the same ideas. As usual what was in my mind isn't too similar to what arrived in the image file, but at least the elements I thought of are there. The trench, the guy reading in the foreground, the card players in the middle and the gun toward the background. The pool with ripples from raindrops (yes, that's what it's supposed to look like) wasn't in my head from the beginning, but I think it fits in really well.
Always something.
I'd be completely happy if I manage to throw out a sketch like this every day. It should put me on the path to ... somewhere ... sometime.
Probably later rather than sooner.
But who cares about timing.
