Why Jolt?
Some things, no one can answer ...
All I know is that Henrik, over time, has got me into something approaching a habit of paying for something to drink every now and then (most common in breaks in lectures). Coca Cola was the natural start of course, after shorter detours into other types of soft drinks. Yet there was never even a thought of starting a collection of Coca Cola cans on my desk, or of buying any other soft drink and storing in the fridge for when the need arises.
What really tipped me over the edge was finding a limited supply at B&W. By "limited" I mean there were seven cans and a bunch of bottles left when I re- stocked last time. Pretty cool to be able to say I bought all the cans they had left anyway :-) ...
As for taste, Jolt is a favourite cola (I wouldn't get it just because of image anyway), not just an equal alternative in a nicer package. Less carbonated than that red cola and more taste. Of course, it's still best served well cooled.
So, after all, I've fallen for a brand's image ... But at least it isn't the most common of brands :-P ...

I currently have two castles of 22 cans each, plus a guard tower of two cans, on the shelf opposite my bed. Yes, of course it's the cans I'm after, those are half the point! I haven't bought any in a while though, which feels kind of lazy :-) ... Not that it's bad for me to have a break of course, but one needs to have some traditions ...

It might be noted that I consider Jolt Cola more of a standalone thing than a lowly thirst-quencher or anything like that. Right now I've had it with chips close by, which is really unlike me and did feel a bit wrong, which was how I realized I consider Jolt standalone. Which I do. Today I restocked Jolt in my fridge for the first time since I'm not sure when. Only six cans though, and we've already opened two, so it probably won't last long. And it's still the best cola out there!
