There isn't much novel to say about the DS. I got mine on the 26th of December 2005, and as of six months later am very hungry for a DS Lite but feeling completely unable to motivate the additional spending when my original unit is working flawlessly.
Strike that.
Okay, I thought of one thing I haven't seen anywhere else: sound is a lot better coming through headphones than the builtin speakers. Not surprising in the least, but still very noticeable and enjoyable. And that goes for both Lite and non-Lite, perhaps even a little bit more so for the Lite.
