I wonder exactly how and why my body and/or mind works the way it does.
On Tuesday night I was pretty tired and was originally aiming for an early bedtime. However, someone, who is anything but nameless to anyone familiar with my life, asked if I fancied having a beer or two and socialising a bit instead. Said and done, I went out, had a good time and didn't get into bed until after 01:00.
Getting up at 07:00 on Wednesday felt just a little bit difficult, and I felt like I could fall asleep on the spot for the whole day.
Except once I actually decided to go to bed in the evening, of course.
In all, I wouldn't be surprised if I actually got even less sleep last night than the night before. And still, I'm somehow feeling a lot more rested now than yesterday.
It could be that I'm just having more and stronger coffee of course ...
