Just finished watching Apple's little music event. The video quality and compression had Pomum working and producing heat at full capacity even when I didn't try to type text at the same time. Hope those Intel Macs come out and kick ass at decent prices before Apple's videos get much larger ...

It seems to me like it used to be about one metric nothing of fun in being the boss of Creative, and now it just got worse. Again. At least it's not as if he didn't dig the hole and get into position at the edge himself ...
I wonder how it feels to people like Motorola and Cingular though. Hey look, here's this phone which can hold 100 songs and has an iTunes-like on-screen interface. Cool, isn't it? By the way, here's something we cooked up ourselves. We guess it's going to be the most popular music player in the world. It holds ten times the songs of the phone in one third of the size and has a much better music interface. But you'll love the phone for the convergence and the ability to carry your music everywhere.

The iTunes update feels all good to me, except for the fact that Apple can't seem to decide what their interfaces should look like. I'm in with drunkenbatman hoping this is the way all the metal apps will take, eventually merging into one unified look for all of Mac OS. Right now it stands out, but I like it more than I dislike it. Cleaner, tighter. And yet, it somehow feels a bit rough, prototype-like. The top corners need another filing, that's for sure.
I seem to be an earplug-for-sleep person, as much as I've avoided finding out in the past. I'd rather be a deaf-while-sleeping person, but I'm certainly not and both the fact and the reasons feel a little bit negative.
