1: Dashboard Widgets
I've managed to create my first fully working widget after a few hours of research and testing spread out over two days. It is, of course, a widget to display the latest post on Martin's noteboard. As usual I feel like there should be quicker ways to solve the problems I've had, more rational ways to find answers and so on. I want to get better at learning and reasearching, as usual. Patience, grasshopper ... Learn to sit back and gaze into the lava lamp and all shall be revealed.
2: Sushi

Mmm, sushi ... Yesteday I took a walk on town and tried out one of the sushi places. Really nice sushi to my taste and standards, and all the miso soup you wanted included. Also, the selection which was the lunch offering was called "Joo", which I of course can't help but see some poor geeky humour in (J00!). As an added bonus, I haven't memorized or noted the name of the place.
3: Coffee
Combine with more or less all the other items on the list. Haven't had copious amounts, just adjacent to the other things. I'm not addicted, I can stop any time ...
4: Taking Notes
Outside of school I've never written too much on paper. But after I arrived at work in Lund and was promptly equipped with a notebook and a stack of post-it-notes it has quickly become quite integral to the way I work. So last night after seeing Memento (speaking of noting things ...) I pulled out an empty notebook and filled a page with thoughts.
Felt good.
Have done more of the same today.
Think I'll do it more going forward.
And perhaps get a Palm again ... I think I've missed easy mobile note-taking!
5: Irritation, standard issue
I've had a standard match with "I'm not doing anything/I want to do something creative/snap out of this and just focus on something/nothing wants to work the way I want it to/blech", and the solution was, unsurprisingly, to relax and not try to do anything creative at all (sitting back and watching Memento in this particular case). I got the thought that maybe I should do non-interactive things (like watching movies) a little more often. All my major pastimes are quite active mind-wise, perhaps doing mind-inactive things more often would be good. Can't be worse than trying to force yourself from semi-tired annoyance into creativity without any intervening steps anyway. That's what I normally try to do.
I also think some more human interaction could have been beneficial. Any way you measure it, the drop in how many people I interact with on a daily basis between now and two months ago must be dramatic.
Bonus Item

For the until-now blissfully unaware, Telia is the largest Swedish phone-and-related-businesses company. I had no idea they were in the tea-filtering market too.
It's sort of Monday tomorrow. Strange how weekends always seem longer when you're looking forward to them than when you're actually inside them ...
