Birthday!
Happy?
Yeah, I guess so. Since I went home and did the family celebration bit during the weekend it didn't feel/hasn't felt too much like birthday but rather more like the first day of work after one. Business as usual.
Except a few happy birthday wishes of course.
And a phonecall from dad minutes before the mobile's alarm was set to wake me up (I don't think you can be much less surprised by a sudden noise waking you up).
Yes, and a present or two as well! Martin gave me a sweet, sweet Panic t-shirt and, as a pre-announced bonus, a wicked self-heating espresso-with-guarana-drink called Rocket Fuel.
We also ate candy all day, but that had nothing to do with my birthday and everything with Martin's recent holiday trip.
And the animals in Animal Crossing bombed my mailbox with presents. The sweet little things, I had just about forgotten what day it was by then. It made me start wondering if I should do something more with the day. Something to, like, make it feel more birthday-ish. Maybe spoil myself or something. Couldn't figure out anything in particular, and I felt rather good in general so I pretty much dropped the thought.
Anyway, this is what I look like wearing Panic like a shirt:

Looks pretty natural and relaxed, no?

This is Martin, drawing up one of his famous UML-like masterplans for world domination and window design. A shirt saying "Panic, Inc" is probably one of the few things which are cooler than a Kafka t-shirt to wear during a planning meeting. We did some more fun stuff today, but I just have to get some more/better ... image material before I post about that.
...
:-)
But the animals of Paradise weren't the only ones to send me mail today. Granted, I paid for this myself, but it was still good timing of the following to arrive today. I am of course (?) talking about the order I made from MegaGear last week!

Yep, another appearance of the Panic shirt too. Just had to try for a better shot of it. I so look forward to the possibility of hanging around in the background of meetings and presentations in my NPC shirt ...

I did take pictures of much of the above using my astronomically better proper digital camera, but the mobile eye will have to do until I can find out if I left the USB cable in Örebro or not ...
To say something about the aforementioned trip home over the weekend; it was great fun to see people again, and it feels like we managed to fit quite a bit into the days without feeling too stressed about it. While I still officially live in my apartment in Örebro it's starting to seem likely I'll never stay another night in it. Right now my brother is looking after the place and has (with my encouragement I should add) moved things about and made himself at home. I can't say I actively missed living there the times I visited over the weekend, but I did feel something I can't quite put words on. It's a really nice apartment and I sure wouldn't have minded living there longer. But hey, I'm sure not complaining about the way things have turned out! Just wondering if I'll find a place here I'll like as much, and if so how long it might take. But who knows, maybe that'll suddenly pop up as well ... I would only be slightly surprised after how things have kept rolling lately ...
Peace!
And rain! Finally.
