So much for feeling poor, I just said yes to buying a nice used mobile. I'm viewing it as a victory of reason over money-pinching. Feels rather good, but then I haven't actually parted with the money yet.
But I will, in not too many hours. I just went out and withdrew the sum involved, since the seller wants to be paid in this old-school paper-type money some people still use. Feels like it's worth the trouble for a phone that supports even more popular acronyms and fun features than my old one.
To be more specific, I'm getting a SonyEricsson K700i, and I'm very much looking forward to both the camera and using a higher-quality interpretation of the Monkey Island theme for ringtone. I might be able to really get into posting random photos here with a camera that handy, and the resolution/quality will certainly be enough for this particular nefarious purpose. Niclas has worked out some really neat phone-website integration I should be able to adapt to make the process even easier. We'll see, fun playing ahead in any case!
