I have a problem with webcomics.
I'm no good at enjoying the Big Read-Through.
You know, you find the comic one way or the other. You read a few recent pages. Pretty soon, you know whether or not you want to keep following the comic. If the answer is yes, there's only one thing to do. Take a deep breath, click the "archive" link, plunge through the layers of history and start reading from the very beginning.
You land with a gentle thud and, somewhat uncertainly, look around. Stretching out before you is an unbroken line of comics from then to now. No waiting time for the next one to appear.
The power, it is too much.
And you know you want to read them all
before reading any new ones.
"To get the complete picture", or whatever.
And, invariably, it's just not as enjoyable as regular, post-catchup, reading.
Sometimes having a clear-cut goal does no good at all.
But apart from that webcomics are completely good. They're fun, they're easily digestable, they don't come out so often you have to obsessively reload the sites and they make me want to draw more.
