To the immediate right of Terminus is a Dell Inspiron 2500, the screen of which is just displaying a horrific understatement.
It says:
Let's spend a few minutes setting up your computer.
When you've been trying to get on with your life, glancing at the screen every twenty minutes or so to see if the progress bars have changed at all a text like this isn't even remotely funny. My best bet (I've watched the same machine perform various checkup tasks at the same type of pace several times before), supported by somewhat regular click sounds, is still that the hard drive is dying but just hasn't got to the actual data loss part yet. Any and all ideas and suggestions are welcome.
I'm also just about to start listening to the very last downloadable episode of Syntax Error. (There, it's started.) There is a little bit of connection between the listening coming along this fast and the glacial Dell ... But there apparently are some episodes they didn't put online (three at the very least). Why, I wonder? Perhaps so I'll just get back to listening to somewhat more recent music ...
There! Look! It thanked me! Bloody least it could do ...
In more pleasant news I had a good time playing the James Bond RPG (from the early 80's, no less!). There's an activity I'd like to turn into a habit ...

I also think I managed to find the final few Christmas presents I needed today. We'll see if all of them can be handed over on time as well ... Ordering online at this time could be a gamble ...
