This is what you have a 12 inch PowerBook for!

I'm not in the photo, but I'm typing this right where Pomum is depicted, with a single lamp in the whole apartment and not a single piece of furniture. That will change soon though, tomorrow the Combined Forces of Friends and Family will come screaming into this emptyness bringing box after box of my belonings. No longer will the rooms echo hollowly when you walk through them (or type on a soft laptop keyboard for that matter). No longer will the floor be the only option for those wishing to sit down. And no longer will I need to bike back to Skäpplandsgatan for a bed to sleep in.
Rather odd thought, that.
Anyway, I've spent the day packing things. Since I've emptied all storage space but one cupboard of their contents the place looks messier and more crammed than ever before.

Homely, isn't it?
Proving once and for all that the requirement of a phone subscription isn't truly necessary for ADSL, Telia moved my phone today. The DSL subscription lasts another month though, and it clearly couldn't care less that the phone is gone. I'm curious to see if it might work here too until the subscription runs out (if all you need is a line that's been enabled and a subscription for your number or something), and I guess I'll try it tomorrow. Otherwise I got the odd idea of going back to the old apartment for another month or so just for the net connectivity :-) ... But then dad's place is close too, and offers all the cosiness and facilities of a furnished family home. Somehow that seems more appealing. But in any case, the sooner the data starts flowing this way the better.
Enjoy the silence of living closer to the city centre. Different background noises to get used to I'm sure.
Oh well, I think it's time to take my computing power and go back to what is my home for another night ... This floor looks a little hard for me to sleep well on, and I feel like getting this posted as well.
See you tomorrow, still future home!
