Yesterday we had about twenty-three and a half hours of warm and mostly sunny weather and half an hour of the heaviest downpour of cats, dogs and things named Desmond I've seen in a very long time.
Guess who had to get to work during that half hour?
As far as wetness goes, this one was serious business. In fact, I almost put on sunglasses right there, made a really wry smile and exclaimed "Mr. Anderson, welcome back! We missed you!"
But then the effect would have been ruined by the squishy sound my shoes made at every step.
