I spent some quality time with my Xbox last night, for the first time in quite a wile. Started with a serious bid to get into Deathrow for real (a page about that game is next up), I've had it for a long time without playing more than two or three times so it was long overdue. And then I had my first dose of Crimson Skies multiplayer in months as well. Unusually, I got into games where people talked quite a bit. In the first game the two talkers were Finnish though, so I didn't understand mor than a word or two in total. Not many other people joined in either, so I dropped out after the first match and found some nice Americans to play a few matches with. Two more people on my friends list and a common interest in playing Halo 2 when it comes out (not that it isn't common for at least 90% of the Live players, but still), fun. I'm looking forward to making games a large part of my summer ...

... so in a way this marks a starting point of the summer. I still haven't "officially" (I.E. discussed it with my writing partner) left the thesis behind, but I might as well have.

I might as well.

No, I should talk to her about it. I think she's going in the same direction, but it sure doesn't hurt to be open about things. After all, maybe she's imagining I'm sitting here sweating my brains out trying to finish the thing in a passable way. Instead I'm writing about games and planning to barbecue tonight, which is all much nicer if you ask me.
