It's snowing again. It's been going on for maybe 12 hours now, long enough for the plowing machines to actually get going. Some cars and buses get stuck, trains and planes are delayed, electricity breaks down in large areas.

We've had winters since long before modern society came about (regardless of what you classify that as), how the hell come we're not better prepared for the darn things? Does it just go to show the powerlessness of humans in the face of the forces of Mother Nature, or is it just a teensy bit outrageous that we can't deal with some cold water? I don't know but I'm guessing that with a better economy in this city there'd be a quicker response from the snow removal services ...

Personally, I'll be keeping my feet well off the ground until I absolutely have to descend in a few hours.
