A laptop on your desk, next to your desktop computer, is just boring.
The same laptop on the floor in front of the sofa is totally cool.
Guess it has something to do with the fact that you're using it in a place you can't bring a desktop,but it's more than that. When the computer and I are both situated on the floor the whole usage position is totally different than I'm used to. Pomum on my desk isn't as convenient as Terminus. In part of course because I usually have Pomum to the side of Terminus' monitor and keyboard, making the chair - computer positioning worse for Pomum usage. This way feels much more close-up and hands on.
On the floor may not be more comfortable in the long run and as a whole, but I think my arm positioning is the best it's ever been, and that's a pretty good thing.
Don't think my back will thank me about the slightly slumped position one easily slips into though ...
