It's Thursday once again. Today I'm installing Fedora as a sidequest to doing schoolwork. Meanwhile on Slashdot people are discussing how to deal with decreased human interaction and related problems when working from home. I've had thoughts about lack of human interaction recently too, but until now I hadn't considered if it might affect my schoolwork. That is, would I get more done if I was doing it away from home, in a place with more people to interact with? I have no idea, while it can feel easier not to get distracted by other things and beneficial to have people to get response to ideas from I also tend to feel (especially when I am in said situation) that I'm more effective when I'm working alone. There's probably not a simple answer to this, and I tend to feel that what I'm working with has some impact as well.

In any case, the mail just arrived, and that's a distraction I wouldn't have if I was sitting somewhere else ...
