I am one of those seemingly rare people who have always liked the original (except in Japan of course) Xbox controllers. People think they are too big. Many people think so. Those people complain a lot, and make fun of the controllers (pretty good fun sometimes!). I always liked the size and found them very nice to grip.
I guess it's fortunate I didn't play anything to death using the large controllers, because now when I got my box the S version has become standard all over the place. Both my controllers are therefore the new small kind, and I found no problem adapting to the new position of the black and white buttons. Owners of older controllers I know do not feel as well about the changes. I guess they'll have a hard time if/when they need to replace a controller ...
