Just opened up dad's old Dell and upgraded it to my old GeForce graphics card instead of the old ATi Rage Pro Turbo AGP that was in there before (as we all know, the words still don't mean more performance). Best of all, I took out my Voodoo2 board as well. It's really a thing of beauty, as far as hulking PCI cards go! Large, full of components ... and dusty ... I plan on putting it in my own computer and use it to play Myth (and any other old game I can think of) with 3d acceleration. After the initial flash of inspiration and excitement i started wondering ever so slightly about driver support. After all, the Voodoo2 went out of producdion and 3dfx themselves went out of business well before Windows XP arrived.
x-3dfx to the rescue! I had some recollection of a site of that name existing around the time 3dfx closed down, and that it at least hosted drivers for the cards. The reality turned out to be even cooler. I dove straight into the drivers section. Lo and behold, a Voodoo2 driver updated less than 10 days ago! It'll be very interesting to get home and try it out!
