It's that time of the year again ... Can't say it feels very special, even though the thought did come up without any external provocation. Much closer is the fact that our minister of foreign affairs was very seriously stabbed yesterday afternoon, while I was at work no less. Since there's no radio in the checkouts, we who worked there may have been the last people in the country to hear about it :-) ...

Update: she died from her injuries during the night, but I'm possibly the last to hear about that as well ... Last time somehting like that happened in this country was 1986, so we're not exactly used to it ...

Dreamed of attending an extremely small and informal gig by the Soundtrack of Our Lives. So small, in fact, that we could have a chat with Ebbot, have song wishes heeded, my brother and I was 66% of the audience, and they played out of the back of a station wagon instead of a stage. Sure that only works in a dream, but cramped conditions aren't unheard of for this band so it seemed strangely appropriate :-) ... Too darn bad I woke up during the first song (Black Star).
