Current Setup

Things come and things go.

Or, in the case of computers in my apartment, some things come and some things stay. Things have changed enough that I found it motivated to do a totally new setup page and call the previous one old.

Pomum

Pomum, my PowerBook, is of course the major change. A stable, portable laptop with wireless networking can totally change in what position you do your general computing. Surfing, mailing, chatting, website editing, after little more than a week I do almost all my stuff on Pomum.

Terminus

Terminus' drop in usage has been pretty dramatic, suddenly I can have it turned off for days without missing it at all. Otherwise it's similar to before, running Windows XP with a homebrewed LiteStep theme on top. I'll of course keep using it for games, and possibly a program or two, but apart from that file serving seems like the major future usage.

Pigbox

Between getting proper hosting for my site and setting Pomum up for testing/development purposes, Pigbox has seen an enormous drop in utilization. Mandrake and XP is still in there, and everything's still set up to do serving if I turn it on, but that critical need to actually do so has disappeared. Maybe I'll take up more low-level Linux experimentation on it, because right now it just sits unused.

Amigas and other stuff

My Amiga is under my bed, in company of another one with interesting modifications that I found in the basement one day. Dad's old Mac is in a cupboard, with a severely bent keyboard connector there sadly isn't anything I can do with it even if I'd want to.
