Have spent the evening at Kristofer's place playing Splinter Cell. It does look quite a bit nicer on an Xbox than on this computer ... Fun to play it is too, but still I'm not totally gripped, thrilled and carried away. The sense of freedom (or more exactly, the lack of it) isn't as bad as I thought it would be after hearing some comments. Sure, seeing a guard that you can't sneak by and aren't allowed to kill and finding a can to distract him with in the very same room felt just a teensy bit forced and obvious (how come no other room has a can lying around in a corner, and how come this one has, when the rest of it is perfectly clean?), but otherwise things have felt much better.
There, finished the demo. Six percent of the game, they say it is. Going to celebrate with some sleep. Going to get up at 06:00 tomorrow, and can't even remember when the last time I did that was ...
