Seems I haven't updated anything in a few days, so how about some chicken?
Warning: mostly for future reference, can probably benefit a lot from some fine-tuning and/or additions.
I had some deep frozen chicken pieces that I cooked in the oven for an hour or so to begin with. Then fried the onion in a pan, threw everything else in with it and let it all cook for a while. I ate it with rice, and got enough leftovers for one more large serving (or two small ones, if I could find a way to split those huge chicken peices easily :-).
The taste ended up very mild, especially when mixed with the rice, so I'll definitely throw more spices into it when I have the leftovers. I had some sweet chili sauce on the side, and while it certainly didn't taste bad it wasn't the additional taste I was after either. More experimentation will probably reveal great things.
In other news we've got something like the first proper rain of the year going on outside. Plenty of wind and the cosy sound of raindrops against the windows. It's just a pity I'll have to go out in it in a few hours ...
