Things are so ...

so ...

calm around here when Pigbox is off!

I hear so many little background noises I haven't heard in a long while.

• The low background rumble of building ventilation.
• Sounds of the lift and other people moving nearby get clearer and more defined.
• The good old sounds of a working fridge and freezer, although those are very much unhearable when the kitchen door is closed.
• The slight noises in my own ears (some possibly created from listening to Pigbox for too long :-).
• Sitting in the kitchen is suddenly all peace and quiet!

I wonder how long it will take before I start considering this computer loud again ...

All this said, there's no way I'll keep Pigbox deactivated, at least not permanently. I'm going to take a look inside, and hopefully there's something decently obvious causing the extra noise. Yeah, I'm optimistic as usual. Once that's fixed I'll start using Pigbox for testing stuff, but I won't actively go for long uptimes again :-) ...
