The report is finally mailed in. On Wednesday the presentations commence, me going first of all and everything. Good to get it over with, much better than another guy who I wrote some earlier coursework with. He's going last of all :-) ... Seems my tutors really took my request not to get a time in the afternoon to heart.
Found a nice old Riva 128 graphics card in a technology trashbox at work yesterday. Looks intact and nice, but unfortunately it's AGP so I can't try it out or use it to connect two monitors. Nice to have one anyway, I remember when I was reading a large test on 3d accelerators a few years back and that one was picked as the best one. Must have been the Christmas of 1997.

Quite unexpected after all this time I have to say :-) ...
Celebrated the delivery of the report and the returned stability of the computer by playing a bit of Warcraft III. Set the AI difficulty to "easy" and promptly got kicked all around the place. Only difference seemed to be that it took a while longer before it attacked. Wasn't long enough :-) ...
