Yes, the browser has been integrated into school! Studying a C level in a subject you're interested in can result in nice things like this. For the coming four weeks (rough estimate) my (and Henrik's too) mission is to learn all there is to learn about various aspects of Mozilla, then write a report each about our discoveries. We haven't nailed down those aspects just yet, but there's plenty to get a grasp of before you need to do that ... The main goal is to be able to expand this five-week (it started this week) work into a full ten-week essay in some nifty way. Haven't nailed down that either just yet :-) ...

... and there it's over already. The report has been mailed in for ruthless slaughter and the presentation of it in front of roughly half the class will commence on Wednesday. I've been planning all along to make it available through this site in some form, but I still haven't decided if it should be just a link, a web version, some kind of short version linking the full document, or what. We'll see.

In any case it was a pretty nice report to write. It didn't get focused until about halfway through the given timeframe, so things were a little stressed toward the end. But that's just the way things should be, don't you think? I do :-) ...

So, Mozilla's over with from a work aspect by now? Most likely not. What's up next in the university world is writing the Big Essay itself, and the most likely thing is that I (and Henrik) will try to find a topic for it related in some way to the reports we've just done. Currently that feels like a problem that can wait though, I want to enjoy the little break between finishing the report and doing the presentation as much as I can first. Time flies, doesn't it? We did write an essay connecting to Mozilla alright, more specifically to the documentation of Mozilla and the presentation of that documentation. Sounds a bit fluffy, no? What we did was develop a method to structure and present any larger project in the form of a multi-leveled model. Click here to download the essay as a Word 2000 document (yes, in Swedish as well).
