Work work ...
At least after today I get all of tomorrow off before next week begins. Yes, I thought not long ago that I'd be free Saturday to Monday this weekend, but things change so now it's free all Sunday ;-) ... Working today comes from trading my pass next Saturday though, so it really only moved that spare time a week forward in time. For some strange reason, my work motivation is a lot better than it's been in a long while, especially during the critical "evenings before". All very good, but I can't really figure where it all comes from :-) ...
Shock tested my Palm a little more yesterday. Once again it fell from a pocket to the floor. I can't figure out exactly how it left the pocket, but it did and the results were clear enough. The front hatch came off, as did the battery hatch, and both batteries flew out as well. As fast as I could manage (I was in the checkout at the time) I put the batteries back in, re-seated the hatches, and breathlessly turned it back on. Everything still worked! No data loss, and no visible new scratches or dents on the surface. These things are a lot more durable than they might appear.
Which is damn lucky for me ...

Twenty minutes to midnight ... Thought I was going to add some interesting and experimental code to this site tonight, but now that I sat down and looked at it I just felt too tired. Of course, you might say ... The day of work got extended by three hours, which of course brought in money nicely and wasn't all that hard on me, but certainly didn't make me less tired once I got home. Made a nice chicken/pasta/potato salad to eat and chatted for a good while with Bonnie and that's about it so far. Might play some games before it's sleep time. Certainly enjoy the fact that I'm not working tomorrow. Was actually offered to work tomorrow and was a little tempted to do it, but I said no because I had other plans. Those plans got changed, but I don't exactly mind having the day off ... It will probably be the grand day of the Handover of the iBook and related demonstrations of said iBook, which could be fun. Anyway, the first thing I'll do is sleep for a long time. I know mom will anyway, so there's no point in getting up early :-) ...
