Steve Jobs has quit, and the event has sort of hung over my whole day. Nothing has happened, really, not even a major hit to Apple’s stock or a lot of nervous writing from ”analysts”. My mind contrasts this, and there is a great deal of contrast, to HP's handling of their own announcement of intending to get out of the PC business and stop making Webos devices.
Now we will begin to see Steve really transition from real person into a legend of one sort or another, actions and words being given new light and weight by the fact that no more of them will be created anymore. People are already beginning to tell their little everyday Steve stories all over the net, as if everyone had already lost a good friend and need to come to terms with it.
Pinto beans are wonderful. Soaked for almost 24 hours, then boiled for over an hour with onions, a bit of stock and some spices. Lots of chopped carrots, some leftover vietnamese rice wraps and a little sweet chili dip sauce. Yummy, super simple food. I could probably get seriously into refried beans and other such fancier creations.
But really, do they get that much better from the extra work?
