I hate it!
End of low bandwidth version.
Longer version follows.
I want to be able to use the music I've paid for in any format I like and need at the moment. Mix tapes/discs and mp3 copies should be my damn right. And besides, messing with honest people's playback/copyright rights doesn't stop dishonest people anyway. The only thing this has resulted in in my case is a deeper dislike for record companies and a decision not to purchase any copy protected CDs at all. The only thing copy protection measures do is piss some people off, isn't it? Those who want to get around it always do, and the rest get annoyed at the side effects of the measures. Not quite what they hoped for, but serves the fat gooheaps right. I can live without them, but they can't live without me, so maybe they should start listening to me some day?
I can imagine paying for a good online music download service, but then it should let me do whatever I like with the music I get from it.
