Hello brave new world

Today, I once again found myself running after a longish break.

(More than a week feels long to me. Especially with such plentiful food in the intervening time.)

Once again, I felt sort of cleansed afterwards. More in touch.

More real.

It was not a very fast or long run. But it was the first of a new year. The first of a long line. The first six of many kilometers.

And the sun shone, bright and warm.

Afterwards, I found myself staring at the bathroom scales in slight disbelief.

Christmas food. In Chirstmas amounts. Sheesh.

So, today has tended more toward green tea. Back to normal again, folks.

Move along.

Oh, last night was good to. Big Lebowski, plentiful white russians, a little wine and glögg, good food … and all the fireworks one could eat.

I had relatively few however, even though the view was great. For one thing, the local fireworks operators did not feel all that … precise or careful. For another, I had dressed a bit thinly and did not feel like freezing to death in the wind. But it was a really good show while it lasted, despite threats of rain even in the last hour before midnight.

The clouds blew in a way which reminded me of creating sky boxes in Unrealed for good old Unreal and Unreal tournament. Fun times!

(By the way, what happened
to linking stuff inside texts?)

Today I also uploaded a new version of my Iphone application Filmtips to the app store for approval. The little thing actually is pretty much the way I want it right now. I am happy about where it is, the things I have done with it and the order I have done them in. I also have plenty of things I could try with it moving forward, so there’s no reason to settle down. Finishing up releases regularly and handling their scope is actually a real source of satisfaction for me. Real artists ship, and all that.

I have done some unexcpected things since getting home after Christmas. Getting more things up on the walls, putting others away, that sort. What will be next, putting up those long-awaited cieling lamps? That would be a real shock (especially now that the days are getting longer again).
