I took myself seriously yesterday.

So today I have been sitting down.
And eating.
Not rarely both at once.

See, I can multitask sometimes.

The fact that rain has been pouring down all day did not make this any more difficult. Especially not with the temperature lurking in the single digits.

Tomorrow the rain is supposed to stop
eventually.
So I think I will make room for some kind of exercise. But perhaps not running, and definitely not the usual track. I am thinking a relaxed run without timing or pulse watching, or perhaps some biking. Something nice and refreshing.

Whatever I feel like, I will do.

Speaking of the words "feel" and "like"

I am writing this in Writeroom. In the fullscreen mode, with light gray text on dark gray background.

(Writeroom is a simple text editor for Mac OS X. Great simplicity and this sweet, distraction-free fullscreen mode are the big features. As far as I know, Writeroom was the first text editor to offer this. In any case, it was early and successful enough that there are Writeroom-like applications created with similar names. I guess that is what people search for ...)

The overall feel is not unlike typing things straight into the main page of Daring fireball ...

A single application occupying the whole screen, showing an extremely bare-bones interface for accomplishing a single task really well and with great focus ...

It is a bit like Writeroom had the idea driving mobile applications down years ahead of many other, no?

I suddenly wonder if there is an IDE out there with similar characteristics and philosophies?

Can I get Textmate to feel more like this when I develop Sproutcore applications using it?

That is worth thinking about ...

Really, what else do you (okay, I) need for treating words, thoughts, characters? What more than this simple, calm and subtly adapting canvas?

Tomorrow, I have more time. I plan to do little with it, as little as I can bring myself to. See if perhaps I will rediscover some energy.

If not, I will let it take its time.

I feel ready for bed.
