It will be wonderful to get the first long and good night's sleep of the year.
2009 ended and 2010 began in a cold Lund with good friends on the top floor, plenty of drinks, surprising amounts of food, good games and somewhat fewer fireworks than expected.
One downside to partying close to home is that it is way too easy to go to bed a very short time after the last drink.
I do not seem to deal too well with that.
No, nothing sad or embarrassing happened, but it took an uncomfortable while before my body settled down and my mind stopped spinning.
Never again, et cetera ...
Considering all that, I have felt very good today. After waking up I drifted back to the scene of the crime and spent the day playing games and restoring my fluid balance in the same great company.
Proof:
That is adventure game classic Day of the tentacle, which we played from start to finish reclining in the sofa.
So, great company, too much food, too much drink and enough gaming. I say 2010 has begun in a good way indeed. Now to cleanse my body after all this intake ...
It is almost 24 hours since I had anything alcoholic to drink, and I am still feeling kind of affected. How much of that is things other than alcohol? Would I feel better had I gone easier on the bacon, garlic and tea?
Then again hey, why be moderate on new year's eve?
