It is a book
rather famous at that
by Neal Stephenson.
A nice book, especially once you get into the style of it.
The science fiction parts hold up well, nothing is too broken.
But perhaps the main protagonists are a little too typical modern-age-superhero-types? One expert hacker and sword fighter and one high-tech skater and acrobat?
To be sure, part of the oppsition are quite the super villains too.
One of those books which I feel, in some way, that I could have written. Or would have liked to write.
Except the bit with viruses jumping from computers to brains
by the optical nerve, no less.
That was a little much to me.
But then, all the rest more than made up for it.
Great atmosphere all around
from anarcho-capitalistic ex-USA mainland
to the hulking, crawling, sprawling Raft.
