One week later

I have made it through my first week of mental autumn, and in all it went by pretty quickly, easily and with decent productivity.

I only fell for coffee once.

On the other hand, there were cookies, candies and things like that most every day. So I do not think I have that much to be proud of.

As I suspected, I have not done any coding in the evenings. I might make a conscious effort to do so in the coming weeks, but I have not decided in either direction.

I will soon be finished with Snow crash. Then I have one more book in line, but after that both my book and film queues are empty. I could probably fill some of that void with coding.

Unless games step in and fill it all up of course. My old friend Petter visited during the last few days of my holiday, and one of many positive effects of that was that I got back a bit of hunger for playing console games again. So a few hours during the week has been spent making a big mess in No more heroes, and I look forward to more of that as well as Metroid prime 3 soon.

I keep meaning to come back to Advance wars on the DS as well. Last night I actually dreamed about something which looked a lot like that game, so who knows? Perhaps the time has come to break out the lite again?

Speaking of dreams, I have been frequent writing down a (notebook) page of the night's dreams every morning. Great fun, and just like everyone says it seems to make me remember my dreams a lot better too. Sometimes I even remember more details later in the day.

Yes, it has occured to me that perhaps it is more of making up new things rather than actually remembering. But it looks the same from this side, and why be too logical on dreams in any case?

One week ahead

Hmmm, I should not expect much evening coding from myself in the coming week ... I have things booked at least every other night, and would not be taken aback if things turned up on the free ones too. But most of it is pure social entertainment, so I sure am not complaining.

Well, guess it is time to start preparing for the evening's activities. Over and out.
