Almost home again after what actually became a whole week of traveling when you counted the days carefully enough. Surprising, but simply another example of how time flies.
After the marathon Simpsons sessions at Martin's place we spent a nice day and night in Köpenhamn, admiring art in Louisiana and not-that-much admiring 3D film at Tycho Brahe Planetarium. The night was spent at a pretty central hostel, with me sleeping the least of us because of constant and pointless worries that someone would break into the locker we'd put all our valuables in. I still think I would have slept much better if we'd had our stuff únder our beds or something, but other noises did of course play a pretty large part in keeping me awake as well. Like the door to the dorm, that always closed with a resounding click a few seconds after someone entered ...
After that night, coming to the hostel in Gothenburg was a great relief. Our own room, wider and more silent beds and a lockable door! We were really lucky with the weather as well, wisely spending the first afternoon/evening thoroughly going through everything Liseberg has to offer. The second day it started raining at about the time we got there the day before ... Instead, we spent the second day on sleeping, visiting Universeum (which seemed a bit expensive for what you got) and some walking around town. Day three was used for more townwalking, from checkout at 10:00 until the train departed at 19:08. Pretty good walking if you ask me, and pretty amazing how fast that time passed too ...
Anyway, almost home it is, I'm writing this from dad's good old/new laptop (external mouse and keyboard put to the side in favour of builtin keyboard and touchpad of course). Nice to know nothing nasty happens when I leave my server on for a week without supervision. But hey, it's a Linux box, I shouldn't have expected anything else! I've also got a short and nice mail from my teacher informing me that my changes to the project report were enough and that I've passed the course now. Great! Now the only thing that can make everything nicer is if there's a note in the mail saying we can pick up a repaired iBook tomorrow :-) ...
Oh, and someone's already getting caught up in planning new little expiditions :-) ... I don't mind, I think it's a natural law just the same as always saying no the first time I ask if it's time to get going again. Some things just are the way they are. As long as we get home before we go again I'm happy :-) ...
