20:00 I stepped off the train, coming back to Lund after two days in Gothenburg. I felt physically full and mentally empty, neither of which felt any strange at all. Fortunately we have had great summer weather the past few days, so I could go home, change and run in the setting sun.
So now both sides feel a lot more balanced, and I got some good thinking on my last few weeks. I have not really taken on too many things, but I think I have let them occupy my mind too much. I have had problems unwinding and falling asleep on weekdays, and I have felt more tired (and perhaps worked up too) than strictly necessary. Now is, as always, the perfect time to get over that and become more relaxed. Things are, after all, pretty good in most ways.
I even did a bit of shopping while waiting for the train to depart from Gothenburg. The eigth part of the collected Sandman came along home, and I finally picked up a new pair of sandals. After walking around for two days in socks and thin-but-definitely-warming shoes I sat down outside the store and changed into sandals right away. Much, much better. The weekend will most likely see me purchasing a bike as well, which means that I am on a real shopping spree right now.
Relatively speaking, of course.
Strange and surprising as it seems, my birthday is coming up soon. I do not have a single plan for it (except baking some kind of cake), so it looks to be a normal day at the office. And that actually feels weird, it has been very rare that I am not on holiday on my birthday. Ah well, it is not like I am a big party person in any case.
