It is getting late, and I have been somewhat tired all day so I think I need my rest.
But I have had two cans of cola during the evening and have an Iphone application recommendation to make, so bed will wait for at least a few more minutes.
Brushes is my very first Iphone application purchase. It is a drawing application and I think of it as a sort of soulmate to Scribbles for OS X. They are both drawing applications with relatively few features, but the ones they have are extremely polished and well thought-out. And more importantly: they focus on letting you have fun and doodle.
Also in keeping with Scribbles, there are a few unique features too. In the case of Brushes, every single stroke is saved, and there is a standalone viewer for OS X in which you can open the resulting files. You can then not only play back the entire creation of the image, but also export it as a Quicktime movie. Plus, you can export the image itself in up to 6 times normal resolution. So if you create something great you are not stuck viewing it at 240 by 320. You can not get details which are not there to begin with, of course, but things do scale up very gracefully when exported.
Here are the doodles I came up with during my first evening. High resolution doesn't do anything for them, so I shrunk them down instead.
Well, that is about it for now. But I already think of things like posting a doodle a day, so I think you will hear/see a lot more about this from me soon.
