Another good and surprisingly short day is coming to an end.

It started over at Linda's place, with a good and somewhat later than average morning,

We won't be spending Easter in the same place, so we needed to make the most of the time.

In any case, for once I actually missed my intended bus and had to wait a while for the next one. I suddenly found myself with about fifteen minutes to spend at a sunny bus stop with good music in my ears. So I dug up my notebook and did some morning writing in the sun.

Somehow, it feels very "serious" to be sitting outdoors, writing with great focus and in longhand. Serious in a good way, of course, I kind of felt like a writer, whatever that means. I don't think my morning pages are really accessing too many unfiltered thoughts, I seem to mostly be using them to plan my day and organize my mind. Both very beneficial things, definitely, but I wonder if I could get more unfiltered things in there if I tried a bit more. Perhaps wake up even less before starting to write. And concentrate less ... WIll make some kind of try tomorrow morning, I'm sure it will be productive.

So it was a delay for the better. Then it was work, fueled by lots of tea and also a great piece of rhubarb pie Linda gave me in the afternoon. I realize I've become quite set in my daily routines lately, as whenever I get to work a bit later than usual the extra time I will need to stay in the afternoon always seems like such a huge extension.

(That it normally passes at just the same speed as it would have in the morning does not seem to be understood by that part of my mind.)

So it was work until a little bit later than usual, then out for a good run in the sun. Once you've adapted to that lost hour of sleep summertime definitely has its upsides ... I followed that up with some food and cola reviewing, and then the evening ended up here, passing by a bit of weekend preparation and a modicum of Mac configuration and website modification. I've just put in the ability to pass my text through Markdown if I like, so I'm writing this as plain, markup-free text. We'll see if everything breaks completely once I do that ...

Carefully makes backup copy of text ...

Would you look at that, it seems to work just like it should ...

And with that, I think my evening is coming to an end. Only one day left of the work week, and I'll make it start at the normal time. Good night!
