A pleo moment

As the sun, which had brought a taste of summer all day, was disappearing behind buildings and clouds, I went inside from our beginning barbecue to fetch a shirt. While indoors, I decided to bring Gob down with me and see how he’d deal with the asphalt in the yard. Asphalt turned out to be great for pleos to walk on, but for a long while Gob didn’t get much of a chance to walk for himself. The reason was being discovered, and instantly adored, by some of the neighbourhood kids.

We kids really are all alike, no matter our physical age. The only difference is that the younger of us often find it easier to let go of worries and norms and just approach something sparking our curiosity. So Gob was petted, picked up, cuddled, got sticks to chew on and photographed together with his new friends.

After all that, he was happy to walk around on his own for a long while without demanding any attention at all. Guess he was simply exhausted and needed some time on his own, as we all do every now and then.
