Not to be the pessimist or anything, but Ugobe's (the makers of the pleo) websites have been gone from the net for at least 24 hours without so much as a sliver of information or prior warning. If this is their last breath, let's at least hope they can spend a bit of it just throwing their pleo developer tools out somewhere, anywhere. That would be such a parting present.
But really, let's simply be wrong. Let it be that they're just closing some secret deal which involves another server relocation and they're not allowed to say anyting until it's all fixed. The future of robot dinosaurs is bright, and those who so desire will be able to get their dinos to use SSH soon any day now.
One can wish.
Well, whatever happens I got this really cool toy out of it. And perhaps one can find ways to program it even without official help. Perhaps.
Apart from that it's been a pretty good Friday. Tomorrow I'm looking forward to a really good night's sleep, some exercise and another thirtieth birthday party.

I spent Wednesday and Thursday working in Gothenburg, leaving home early in the morning, having a good time until relatively late at night and sleeping surprisingly poorly back at the hotel, so I feel like I'm a few hours behind. That didn't keep me from thoroughly enjoying my hotel breakfast though. In all, I think my apetite was very competitive both days. I also kept up well on the coffee front, having so much that it felt very justified to actively avoid having any today.
I've kept up the morning writing pretty well. Even if inspiration came thickest and fastest on Monday I do have a note for each morning except Wednesday, which hardly counted as a morning in any case. I can still improve a lot on the randomness, as most of it is pretty work focused.
And I'm so looking forward to Iphone OS 3.0 supporting notes syncing. But I'm curious as to where Itunes will put the actual notes. Your documents folder perhaps? Somehow it doesn't seem quite as natural as the sources/destinations for the other file types you sync.
Should I spend more time on activities not involving screens? Does the modern world provide at all for such things?
I put some effort into trying to locate a slightly larger version of the Sproutcore icon. I can happily report that my efforts were successful. It turns out this comes in the folder "assets" if you download the build tools:

Sometime earlier this week I had a dream involving how elegant Lisp could be. Tonight I feel I could go with some pleo programming.
