I got this book by Zac O'Yeah for Christmas 2008 and finished it on January 28th of 2009. It is, not surprisingly, a biography of Mahatma Gandhi, and said to be one of the first in Swedish. I really enjoyed it and feel it is a good biography with a nice amount of depth without getting too drowned in detail, and it is a surprisingly easy and quick read.
It feels a bit like a travel book to me ...
... and that does feel highly appropriate ...
The book manages to take a person which seemed a bit mythical to me and make him feel human, understandable. It may not give me the way to interpret Mahatma Gandhi, but it certainly provided me with a good way, one which is plausible.
I only finished it less than an hour ago, so I'll let it sink in a bit now.
