The logical part of me knows that I'm going back to work as usual come tomorrow, but the fact really doesn't seem to be reaching any other part of me. It's fantastic how long a time the past 18 days has seemed. I wonder if it will feel completely odd to be back tomorrow or if everything will simply fall right into place.
Both seem equally likely.
Time for another check of the drying laundry, possibly the last one. It was a bit surprising to come home and, twenty or so minutes before laundry time, open the tap to find nothing but a stutter coming out of it. The laundry rooms (two entrances away in the same building) managed to have water all the while though, so things were okay plan-wise. And my own water came back soon enough too, even if it retained a suspicious brownish hint for quite a few litres.
I'm having tea made of it right now, and I seem to be in order.
On Sunday I went out for the year's first run. It was a few degrees below zero and pretty icy in places, but I dressed properly, managed to avoid slipping and generally felt like things went well. But as the evening wore on I started feeling achey and cold, in the classic ways signalling an incoming fever. Sleep did much of the trick though, even if it was somewhat worried.
(Poor L slept poorly from worry about my worried sleep. Bummel kept calm as usual though.)
I woke up tired, worn and a little achey, but free from fever-feelings. L and I made it a 100% relaxing day and I kept feeling better all through it. I got to add both Disney's Pinocchio and Sound of music to my list of watched classics, just the kind of things you need on a day like that.
Connected to this previous Apple-image-thought, another little thought entered my head just now:
Why does Apple's own media player/jukebox pause and stutter playback when I sync my Apple-made phone to it? This on Apple's own operating system, ran on Apple's own dual core computer under no other significant load.
